Group Resourcing Manager

Location: Bicester with travel as required
Contract Type: Permanent
Hours: Full time
Salary: Competitive

The role of Group Resourcing Manager will be positioned to focus on the proactive management and planning for key areas of recruitment and resourcing across the Group business in the UK.

The holder will work closely with the HR delivery team to identify resourcing gaps, produce and implement workforce planning activities and spearhead recruitment campaigns. The Recruitment Coordinator will report directly into this position to support on the recruitment activity and process on all our vacancies.

The Resourcing Manager will also provide focus on our approach to recruitment including the management of our agencies, agreeing standardised TOBs, our process for direct advertising and the development of line managers in approach to selection to ensure we get it right first time.

This will be a proactive and vital role to the business, with a clear aim on mitigating level of agency spend, improving our time to hire and improving our employer attractiveness in conjunction with the HR delivery team. Regular reporting in respect of agency spend vs direct hire, cost per hire, time to hire, etc will be something the role holder will be responsible for developing.

Key Responsibilities

• Works closely with Group HRD in the design and delivery of the Group resourcing strategy.
• To professionalise the way the Group business attracts and recruit
• Create a proactive resourcing process for key areas such as Driver recruitment to reduce reliance on agency spend
• Perform regular external benchmarking exercises to assess competitiveness and market position
• Manage the advertising process across the Group
• Review the existing Applicant Tracking System and ensure the right system processes are in place for business needs
• Take the lead with hiring manager for key / technical / managerial roles
• Ensure hiring manager compliance to process is followed and properly understood
• Support the creation of meaningful and realistic job descriptions
• Instil a right first approach to selection through the delivery of standards on selection including:
o Interview and competency-based selection templates
o Recruitment toolkits and processes to support manager compliance and confidence
o Legal understanding and adherence for hiring managers
o Training and development as required
• Mitigate recruitment agency spend where at all possible through direct advertising, screening and selection.
• Establish an appropriate PSL with properly flushed through TOBs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience (3 years +) in a senior Resourcing Management level position with proven success of policy and toolkit development
• Has successfully run high volume campaigns and coordinated attraction events
• Has plenty of experience of recruiting for both operationally focused (Driver/Warehousing) and office based roles to a senior and technical level.
• Has developed a recruitment or resourcing strategy with particular focus on improvements relating to TTH, CPH and direct recruitment models.
• CIPD qualified in the relevant specialist field would be advantageous
• A good standard of education to A Level.
• Degree level educated would be desirable but not essential, experience would be considered as equally important
• Experience of working with sales and commercial teams as well as multi-site operational environments
• Will be able to align themselves to and act as an advocate for organisational values.
• Good knowledge of MS Office
• Experienced with ATS and able to develop and improve existing recruitment processes
• Highly organised with attention to detail.
