Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Nurse to join our dental practice. The successful candidate will provide essential support to dentists during patient treatments, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical environment. Duties
* Prepare treatment rooms and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety regulations
* Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including fillings, extractions, and root canals
* Provide patients with pre- and post-treatment care instructions
* Ensure patient comfort and address any concerns or queries they may have
* Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems
* Manage appointment scheduling and organise patient flow efficiently
* Support the practice's infection control protocols and hygiene standards
* Assist with administrative tasks such as stock management and ordering supplies
* Communicate effectively with patients, colleagues, and external healthcare providers to ensure seamless service delivery
Qualifications
* Proven experience in patient care within a dental or healthcare setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
* Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
* Knowledge of nursing principles and practices relevant to dental care
* IT literacy to manage electronic health records and appointment systems effectively
* Excellent organisational skills to prioritise tasks efficiently in a busy environment
* Compassionate approach with a focus on delivering exceptional patient care
* Ability to work well as part of a team while also demonstrating independence when required
