Charity Jobs NI (part of the Happy Jobs group) is partnering with Keep Northern Ireland Beautiful to recruit a proactive, organized, and dedicated Local Environmental Quality Coordinator to join their expanding LEQ team. About the Role: You will coordinate and project manage environmental quality and certification programs within the LEQ department, working closely with the Local Environmental Quality Manager to ensure effective delivery, stakeholder engagement, and supervision of departmental officers.
Key Responsibilities include:
1. Managing resources and delivering program outputs effectively within budget and deadlines.
2. Leading planning, implementation, and reporting of environmental initiatives.
3. Coordinating certification programs such as Blue Flag, Green Flag, and conducting cleanliness surveys.
4. Developing community participation in sustainability initiatives and expanding program coverage.
5. Acting as the primary contact, responding to inquiries, representing the charity, and preparing content for platforms.
6. Supporting research and policy analysis on environmental sustainability.
7. Managing stakeholder communications and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:
* Essential: Relevant degree or 3 years' experience, including 1 year in surveying/auditing, 2 years in program delivery, and 1 year staff supervision.
* Desirable: Experience in data collection, analysis, reporting, voluntary sector, or local government roles.
Skills: Strong ICT skills (Microsoft Office). License: Full driving license and transport access.
Knowledge & Understanding: Essential: Environmental issues. Desirable: Behavior change principles.
Personal Qualities: Independent and team working abilities, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Additional Requirements: Occasional travel and flexibility for beyond standard hours. Core hours 10am-4pm, Monday-Friday. Hybrid work arrangement.
Salary: £30,328. Contract: Permanent, subject to funding. Funded through DAERA Environment Fund.
