Residential Unit Manager Care and Support - The Fleet Care Home Contract: Full Time Salary: £17.15 Per Hour Shift Type: Days Contracted hours: 48 Our care home, nestled in the picturesque town of Dartmouth in Devon, provides exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 79 residents, offering a serene and supportive environment where quality care meets coastal charm. Unit Manager Contract £17.15 per hour Contracted to 48 hours per week Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided 5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract) Role Overview As Unit Manager, you will play a key role in leading and developing your team while ensuring high quality, person centred care is delivered consistently across your unit. This role carries responsibility for the day to day operational management of the unit, maintaining standards and supporting a safe, well organised and positive environment. You will oversee the delivery of care, ensuring it is aligned to individual care plans, best practice and regulatory requirements. This includes supporting the team, monitoring residents’ wellbeing, overseeing medication processes and responding effectively to any changes in condition, ensuring care remains safe and responsive. You will also take responsibility for maintaining accurate documentation, including care plans, risk assessments and daily records. Working closely with the Home Manager, colleagues, families and healthcare professionals, you will support clear communication, accountability and continuous improvement across the service.
