Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen at a Gold Standard Cat Clinic and RCVS-accredited training practice, where our client has an excellent opportunity for a Veterinary Surgeon to join their experienced team.
The practice owner has completed the ESVPS General Practitioner Certificate in Small Animal Surgery, holds a Masters in Advanced Clinical Practice, and is currently working towards an exotics certificate. With a passion for teaching, this offers you as a solid GP vet the opportunity to further develop your skills surrounded by a supportive team.
You’ll also be working with an incredible nursing team, including a certificate holder and nurses who undertake schedule 3 procedures, some of whom have been with the practice since its opening.
In addition to a large, designated colleague area, facilities at their purpose-built practice include 4 consulting rooms, an operating theatre, a central preparation room, and all the equipment you would expect from a leading GP practice, along with orthopaedic surgical kits. They have a travelling orthopaedic vet with them once a week on average, along with a heart vet every Thursday, which gives their team further opportunities to learn and develop from their varied caseload.
The Role:
Ideally, this is a full-time role, with flexibility for shorter hours considered if required. Full-time vets currently work 4 days a week, in addition to a shared weekend rota. There are no out-of-hours duties.
