UK & EMEA Procurement Director – Data Centre Solutions – London
Lead the Divisional Procurement strategy to ensure the business needs are met with value for money, quality delivery, and risk management. Guide stakeholders on procurement best practice, supplier management, and development of CBRE suppliers, driving performance, growth, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead business units in managing existing and new supply chains.
* Support retendering and deep dives—understand customer strategy, monitor delivery.
* Mobilise supply chain for new contracts—set strategy, collaborate with mobilisation team and client.
* Increase compliance to preferred supplier contracts by analysing spend, rationalising suppliers, promoting benefits of preferred suppliers, and influencing contract managers on supplier choice.
* Review current spend within the division, identify value improvement opportunities by reducing costs or improving service delivery.
* Review market to identify new and alternative suppliers, ensuring they are safe, sustainable, and accredited.
* Develop contractual arrangements that deliver best value and high quality service delivery.
* Work with preferred suppliers to deliver value, cost savings, and service level improvements; conduct regular audits and performance reviews.
* Promote performance management, innovation, and continuous improvement across contracts.
* Actively benchmark suppliers on price and capability to drive best value.
* Develop and implement category strategies for selected categories, sectors, and localities.
* Close gaps, optimise supplier numbers, and leverage high‑performing suppliers.
* Collaborate with Central and other Divisional procurement teams; educate stakeholders on procurement best practice.
* Support communication of procurement strategies to ensure stakeholders are informed and included.
* Contribute to the development and implementation of CBRE procurement strategies and initiatives within the Division.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
* CIPS qualified (or in‑progress) or equivalent with operational experience in diverse and complex organisations.
* Customer‑focused with excellent influencing and communication skills.
* Ability to work with and influence a broad range and level of stakeholders and supplier staff.
* Collaborative approach, balancing short‑term success with long‑term productive relationships.
* Thrives in a fast‑paced organisation across the UK with a diverse supply base and wide geographical spread of contracts.
* Strong commercial acumen and proven track record of identifying and delivering substantial savings.
* Proficient analytical skills and measured decision‑making approach.
* Will involve nationwide travel.
