The Role We are looking for a Marketing Analyst to drive the commercial success of our Europe / MED – Asia Eastbound trade. In this role, you will be instrumental in bridging the gap between high-level strategy and daily execution, ensuring our Trade Policy and objectives are clearly communicated and effectively implemented across the region. Your key areas of responsibilities will include: Performing regular structural review of regions / AC performance against target goal levels & follow-up on any performance deviations providing insight analysis of cargo patterns and analysis of forecasts. Creation and management of dashboards for various KPI’s, analysis of data and summarising actions to be taken. Working with regions / MKTG teams and monitor any deviations in performance, also providing guidance and directions based on cargo pattern analysis to maximise overall trade profitability. Reviewing route costs, creation, and maintenance of Arbitrary cost lists. Management of opening / closing routes. Creation and maintenance of Minimum guide rates in line with market changes across various platforms. Coordinating cargo portfolio strategy analysis with a view to maximising revenue return Preparing daily / weekly cargo trend analysis/booking monitoring reports which facilitate the process management & optimisation of vessel allocations and trade profitability. Supporting the European Space management/Pricing team daily activities with clear guidance and cargo trend analysis. Managing optimal cargo routing tables for Europe / MED – Asia trade, Setting and maintenance of route priority, cross referencing against internal way port allocations. Identifying under utilised routes and promotion to respective pricing personnel. Complete proficiency with all Trade Management inhouse System Modules and perform timely and accurate review & maintenance of the same when & where required, including but not limited to new system enhancements. Taking on ad hoc projects as directed by the Marketing Manager. Demonstrating proficiency in dealing with new system enhancements and data analysis to support daily pricing and space management decisions. Supporting respective Trade Pricing Teams and Trade policies. The Requirements Proven ability to analyse complex amounts of data and create ad hoc analysis when required. Knowledge of data studio, power pivot would be preferable Good knowledge of Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) Knowledge of system programming is considered as a plus for this position. Experience of working to tight deadlines Flexibility in approach to work. Capability to analysis data and put forward recommendations from that analysis Ability to prioritise workload. Previous pricing / market liner shipping experience is desirable but not essential. Strong analytical / problem solving skills.
