Overview
HC-One is looking for an Assistant Chef with at least a Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate and a solid understanding of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points. The role requires brilliant, positive energy and the ability to get along with people. You should be organized, able to meet deadlines, present food attractively, and have a knack for following recipes precisely. You will communicate with Residents and co-workers with kindness and consideration.
In your role as an Assistant Chef at HC-One, you'll value one thing above all: Kindness. As an Assistant Chef, you will cook and serve nutritious, healthy meals that Residents will love. You'll provide outstanding support to our First Chef, taking charge in their absence. Whether you're managing food stock, optimizing budgets, coaching a colleague, or supervising kitchen clean-up, Resident wellbeing remains the priority.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognise signs of possible abuse, harm or neglect and know what to do if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and to undertake additional training in related areas. You should also be able to seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
