At John Smedley, weve been crafting the worlds finest knitwear since 1784 and were looking for a meticulous, hands-on professional to join us as a Knitwear Linker. This is a specialist role at the heart of our production process, where craftsmanship, care, and attention to detail truly matter. Whats the Role? As a Knitwear Linker, youll join the parts of our garments together sleeves, collars, trims using precision linking machinery. Its skilled work, where every stitch counts and the final result depends on your steady hands and sharp eye. You dont need to be a trained linker already if you have experience in garment production, sewing, tailoring, or similar hands-on work, well provide full training to help you master the art. What Youll Be Doing: Linking together finely knitted garment panels with accuracy and care Ensuring consistent quality, tension, and finish in every garment Matching colours, threads, and detailing with a keen eye Supporting production targets while maintaining our exceptional standards Contributing to a culture of craftsmanship, teamwork, and pride Who Were Looking For: You have great hand-eye coordination and enjoy working with precision Youre calm, methodical, and focused on quality You care about doing things properly and take pride in what you produce You work well in a team and are open to learning new skills You may have worked in sewing, tailoring, textiles, or another hands-on role Why Join John Smedley?
