#teamOFG! About the Role We are seeking a confident and compassionate Pastoral Lead to join Park School and play a key role in shaping our supportive and structured learning environment. As Pastoral Lead, you will provide leadership to the pastoral team and act as a central point of support for pupils and colleagues. You will oversee behaviour and wellbeing provision, monitor interventions, and ensure consistent implementation of school policies and positive behaviour strategies. Your leadership will directly influence pupils’ personal development and the wider culture of the school — helping to create a safe, respectful and aspirational environment where every pupil feels understood and empowered to succeed. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the school’s pastoral team, ensuring high-quality, consistent support for pupils Promote pupil wellbeing, positive behaviour and personal development across the school Model and support effective implementation of school policies and behaviour strategies Provide responsive and flexible support to pupils and staff throughout the school day Oversee and contribute to Positive Support Plans (PSPs) and Risk Assessments (RAs) Act as on-call support for pupils with additional or complex needs Monitor, record and analyse behaviour data, reporting trends and impact to Senior Leadership Manage escalating behaviour, including restrictive physical intervention, in line with training and policy Lead debriefs with pupils and staff following incidents to promote reflection and continuous improvement Safeguard and promote the welfare, safety and wellbeing of all pupils Experience and Qualifications Experience working with pupils with ASC, SEN and complex needs Proven experience delivering pastoral interventions and improving pupil outcomes Previous pastoral leadership experience within a school setting Strong organisational, communication and leadership skills A calm, resilient and solution-focused approach This is an opportunity to take on a meaningful leadership role where your impact will be seen every day — in improved behaviour, increased confidence and positive pupil outcomes.
