We are supporting a large, multi-site, PE-backed organisation undergoing significant growth and transformation to appoint a Strategic Investment & Growth Lead.
This is a highly visible role working closely with senior leadership to shape and support strategic investment decisions across a complex operational environment.
The successful individual will play a central role in developing, coordinating and challenging investment and growth cases, ensuring proposals are commercially robust, strategically aligned and ready for executive and investment committee review.
This is not a traditional investment banking role.
Instead, we are looking for someone who can operate at the intersection of:
* strategy,
* operations,
* finance,
* governance,
* and project delivery.
You will be responsible for bringing together multiple stakeholder groups, structuring complex information and helping drive strategic initiatives from concept through to approval.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the coordination and development of strategic investment and growth cases
* Work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, Operations, Estates, Commercial and other central functions
* Translate operational and financial information into clear, commercially focused executive-level papers
* Challenge assumptions, identify risks and improve the quality of investment submissions
* Manage multiple strategic workstreams and governance deadlines simultaneously
* Prepare materials for executive leadership and Investment Committee review
* Support strategic growth planning, capital allocation and operational investment activity
* Improve consistency, governance and structure across investment processes and reporting
Candidate Profile
We are interested in individuals who bring a blend of commercial thinking, operational awareness and structured project delivery capability.
You may currently work within:
* strategy or transformation,
* operational PMO,
* commercial finance,
* consulting/advisory,
* investment planning,
* corporate development,
* or strategic project delivery.
Backgrounds from PE-backed, multi-site or operationally complex organisations would be particularly relevant.
Experience within sectors such as education, healthcare, care, retail, hospitality or infrastructure would also be advantageous.
We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate:
* Experience coordinating complex business cases, strategic projects or investment activity
* Strong commercial and financial awareness
* Confidence working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
* Excellent written communication and presentation skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and moving parts simultaneously
* Strong organisational capability and attention to detail
* A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach
Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to join a growing organisation at a pivotal stage in its development, with direct exposure to strategic decision-making and senior leadership.
The role offers broad visibility across the business and the opportunity to play a meaningful role in shaping future investment, growth and operational priorities.
