We are inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow position in Stem Cell Epigenetics. This exciting role provides an opportunity to contribute to a cutting-edge project exploring the interplay between WNT/GSK3 signalling and chromatin biology in embryonic stem cells (ESCs).
Under the supervision of Dr. Yaser Atlasi, the successful candidate will utilize advanced epigenomics techniques alongside computational biology approaches to map epigenetic changes driven by WNT/GSK3 signalling in ESCs.
This collaborative project offers access to world-class expertise, state-of-the-art resources, and dedicated mentorship, creating a vibrant and supportive research environment for professional growth.
About the person:
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following essential criteria:
1. Hold or be about to obtain* a PhD in Molecular biology, Biochemistry, genomics, or a related discipline.
2. (*PhD to be completed within 4 months of the closing date for the post)
3. Experience in maintaining stem cell culture models, with preference for mouse or human ESCs.
4. Experience in high-throughput (epi)genomics assays or related technologies.
5. Experience in genome editing tools, such as CRISPR/Cas9.
6. Experience in handling genomic, epigenomic, and transcriptomic datasets.
7. Understanding of chromatin biology, and related technologies such as chromatin accessibility (e.g., ATACseq), histone modification assays (e.g., ChIP-seq).
To be successful at shortlisting stage, please ensure you clearly evidence in your application how you meet the essential and, where applicable, desirable criteria listed in the Candidate Information.
This post is available for 6 months.Fixed term contract posts are available for the stated period in the first instance but in particular circumstances may be renewed or made permanent subject to availability of funding.
