About the Role We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Prototype Build Technician to join our Prototype Build Team at our Shoreham Technical Centre. In this hands-on role, you'll be involved in the assembly, modification, and instrumentation of prototype mechanical systems - from engines and transmissions to electric powertrain components. This is a contract position, initially for a three-month period, supporting a high volume of project work. What You'll Be Doing As a key member of our Prototype Build team, your responsibilities will include: Precision Assembly: Building and modifying prototype components and mechanical assemblies to engineering drawings and technical instructions. Instrumentation Integration: Installing and adapting specialist instrumentation including thermocouples, pressure tappings, speed sensors, crank encoders, and bonded sensors. Component Modification: Using hand and machine tools (lathe, mill, drill, grinder, etc.) to modify components where required.
