Overview
Our Health in Justice service line is expanding into non-Custodial healthcare with a person-centred approach. We are seeking a Liaison and Diversion Practitioner to join our team in South Yorkshire.
Responsibilities
* Identify and respond to requests for screening and assessment of people with identified health needs in contact with the criminal justice system. This work is undertaken autonomously in police detention cells.
Location and Hours
* Location: Predominantly Barnsley with some travel across the South Yorkshire region. A driving licence will be required.
* Hours: Shifts covering Monday to Sunday.
Salary
* Salary: £43,609 to £49,174 per year, full time (37.5 hours per week) depending on experience.
Requirements
* Legal right to work in the UK is required due to the nature of the role. Offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.
Qualifications / Experience (indicative)
* Experience in liaison and diversion or related health/social care within the criminal justice system is desirable.
* Ability to work autonomously and provide person-centred assessments.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills with police and health services.
