* £45,0000 annual salary (Term Time Only, actual earnings)
Are you interested in working 39 weeks of the year in an SEN School with a therapy team where the therapy is embedded and being paid £45,000 annually (no pro-rata)?
Following the relocation and expansion of a specialist SEN school in Northwest Birmingham, we are seeking a dedicated and resilient Band 6 Speech and Language Therapist to join a growing and forward-thinking clinical team.
This is a newly created role within an expanding service, offering the opportunity to work in a well-structured, supportive environment with strong clinical leadership. The successful candidate will work closely alongside an experienced Band 8a Speech and Language Therapist and contribute to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based interventions tailored to pupils’ communication needs.
Job Duties
* Assess, plan, and deliver speech and language therapy interventions for pupils with ASC and SEMH needs
* Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes and communication strategies
* Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists, teaching staff, and pastoral teams
* Contribute to EHCPs, reviews, and clinical documentation
Essential Criteria
* HCPC registered Speech and Language Therapist
* Minimum of 1 year’s experience working within a SEN setting (school or visiting therapist experience considered)
* Experience supporting children with ASC
* Strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills
* Resilient, proactive, and flexible approach
