Service Engineer
Location: Kent
Salary: £40,000 £50,000 per annum
The Role
We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated Service Engineer to join a friendly supportive team in Kent. This is an exciting opportunity to work with high-value capital equipment and machinery, supporting customers across Southern England.
Key Responsibilities
* Diagnose, repair, overhaul, and adjust machinery such as conveyors and end of line packaging machinery.
* Assemble and commission new equipment.
* Service and repair production machinery and other high-value equipment.
* Install factory updates and modifications.
* Repair or replace worn or damaged components.
* Operate machinery to identify and troubleshoot faults.
* Train operators in how to correctly use newly commissioned machinery.
* Attend breakdowns and carry out regular service visits at customer sites.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety standards.
* Represent the company and uphold its core values at all times.
Skills & Experience
* Completed apprenticeship in a relevant field (e.g. electrical, mechanical, electronic, mechatronic, agricultural mechanic).
* Minimum of 18 months experience in a similar technician/service engineer role.
* Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise at all levels.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Fluent in written and spoken English.
* Basic IT skills, including MS Office.
Additional Requirements
* Willingness to travel across Southern England.
* Flexibility to work overtime, and on call.
