Start dates March/April What will life as a Class 2 HGV Driver in the Gategroup Team look like for you. * £17.95 per hour * Overtime @ 1.5 times the hourly rate * 4 on 4 off pattern 19:00-07:00 * Inhouse training and development * Complimentary meals & beverages * Free Uniform * Company sick pay * Free on-site parking * Paid Holiday * Regular shift patterns * Pension scheme to help you save for your future * Bespoke employee support programme, including free counselling sessions * Refer a friend scheme with generous bonuses for each successful referral * Access to a great discount platform, saving you money on everyday purchases and so much more * Cycle to work scheme Main Duties and Responsibilities * Driving HGV 15 – 18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure & controlled environment * Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use * Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft * Liaison with flight crew and working in collaboration with other ground handling suppliers * Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle * Adhering to all Road Traffic Acts and additional Airport By- laws * Additional duties such as Bar and stores packing or search and sealing will be a daily requirement along with any associated paperwork. * Plus any additional warehouse duties Requirements of the HGV Driver: * Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered) * Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card * Driver CPC qualification essential * Previous HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage * Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential. You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn. In addition to job - related training, you will develop your skills in team work, time management, multi-tasking, communication and attention to detail. For anytime spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country.
