Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting! Are you an ambitious teaching assistant looking for a rewarding role in a primary school? We are seeking an experienced and passionate 1:1KS1 SEN Teaching Assistant for one of our North Liverpool based primary schools.
We are working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school that require dedicated a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support Key Stage 1 pupils with Special Education Needs.
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring individual to join our team and provide tailored 1:1 support for pupils with SEN. You will work closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and other staff members to create an inclusive and engaging learning experience.
Responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 support to pupils with specific learning needs in EYFS and KS1.
* Assist with implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and adapting activities to suit the pupil's needs.
* Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment.
* Support the social, emotional, and educational development of the pupils.
* Liaise with teachers, SENCo, and parents to ensure consistent progress.
* Assist with classroom activities, maintaining a calm and inclusive atmosphere.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
* Has experience working with children, ideally within EYFS or KS1.
* Has a good understanding of SEN and strategies to support learning.
* Is patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about helping children reach their potential.
* Possesses strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Demonstrates commitment to the Catholic ethos of our school (you do not need to be Catholic but should be supportive of our values).
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 in Supporting Teaching and Learning) are desirable but not essential.

* An enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
* A CV that must cover the last 10 years of employment history (where possible)
