Main Purpose
* The aim is to ensure that the customer experience is consistently exceptional and that Hallgarten are seen as a trusted partner to do business with.
Primary Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a company-wide Sales & Operations (S&OP) planning process that covers short-term availability, medium-long term portfolio development and optimises working capital:
* Harness the capability of the company’s systems to streamline processes and create efficiencies.
* Optimise stock control practises whilst considering the sales growth requirements of the business
* Plan future demand and manage resource to ensure a responsive service during peak trading periods.
* Support the Buying decisions with insight into how products should be brought in and launched
* Oversee, support and coach the Shipping & Customer Services team to ensure that staff consistently deliver a friendly, professional and efficient service to suppliers & customers.
* Create training/personal development strategies that will foster a ‘can do’ attitude and pride in delivering a great customer experience.
* Own the relationship and contract with Third Party London City Bond and ensure it is and remains fit-for-purpose, driving continuous improvement and efficiency
* Review and revise operating procedures to drive service quality and consistency.
* Innovate and develop new services or service delivery methods to help the business maintain competitive advantage.
* Deliver and sustain market-leading customer service standards and quality of service.
* Deliver operational change to drive efficiency, increased performance and quality of service.
* Take the lead on project management of the key initiatives within the business, currently ISO14001 continued and striving for Carbon Neutral accreditations.
Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours
* Systems literate
* Working knowledge of S&OP processes and how to implement/operate them successfully
* Effective change management
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build relationships.
* Able to lead by example
Experience & Qualifications
* Previous management experience essential
* Experience of Microsoft Business Central an advantage
* Previous experience of implementing S&OP
* Working knowledge of the wine industry

This is a newly created role to manage the Operations of Hallgarten. Intended to champion a culture of continuous improvement and development of the people, processes and systems that deliver our service consistently as we grow. The successful candidate will ensure that Hallgarten’s operations develop, improve and professionalise to keep pace with a phase of exceptional sales and customer growth.
