RG Consultancy are working with a fantastic SME based in Wilmslow who are recruiting an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their small growing finance team, reporting into the Finance Manager.

Role Responsibilities
* Match purchase invoices to purchase orders and investigate any discrepancies
* Monitor and maintain the job costing system
* Process supplier invoices for payment in line with procedures
* Reconcile supplier statements and resolve differences
* Prepare supplier payment runs
* Assist with the reconciliation of company debit card transactions
* Process daily cash postings
* Raise and send sales invoices on a daily basis
* Carry out credit control activities, including sending statements and chasing overdue balances
* Monitor the accounts email inbox and respond to routine queries
Person Specification
* Proven experience working within an SME in an all-round accounts role is essential
* Experience or knowledge of working within a construction business would be preferable but not essential
* An AAT qualification, equivalent or studying would be an advantage
* Strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel
* Experience and confident with using accounting software, particularly XERO
