The Client
With sites based in Worcestershire and West Midlands this privately owned client manufacturers bespoke engineering systems for a range of clients including distribution centres. The company, established over 50 years ago is enjoying continued growth and are expanding their Quality function with the appointment of a Group QHSE Manager reporting directly to the Operations Director.
The Role
As Group Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental Manager (QHSE) you will have full responsibility for the overall day to day management of the H&S and Quality Systems. You will ensure that the company management and quality systems are adhered to in order to maintain 9001, 45001 and 14001 certification. This role will cover two site in Worcestershire and one site in the West Midlands and you will strive for continual improvement and best practice working at all sites at all times.
Duties include;
* Quality Manual - Keeping procedures and standards up to date
* Auditing of quality systems, health and safety standards and annual reviews
* Accident reporting records – maintaining and investigating
* Record keeping, marking and maintaining CE Marking company expectations
* Fire Drills – weekly, monthly and annual checks along with record keeping
* H&S Policies – adherence, maintenance, amendments and re-writing
* COSHH – Maintenance and preparation of the register
* New Employees – Manual handling training, right to work register, company induction
* Accident investigation and reporting
The Candidate
The successful applicant for the role of Group QHSE Manager will have relevant working experience in a Manufacturing environment and will be capable of successfully integrating themselves into the senior management team and be able to liaise, advise and train all other department heads on matters regarding QHSE. You will be highly communicative and engaging; able to report upwardly to the board and liaise with shop floor staff to ensure best practice and policies regarding all Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental matters. You will conduct, organise and run group meeting and distribute actions and minutes along with preparing and issuing risk assessments. You will be customer, client and external bodies facing and liaise with certification bodies for annual reviews, insurance policies and attendance of specific seminars or training courses. You will be able to drive and be able to work across all three sites – this is a Monday to Friday position with a lunchtime Friday finish.
