ICT Applications Support & Training Officer (Career Graded)
An exciting career graded vacancy has arisen to join the ICT Applications Support and Training team. As an ICT Applications Support and Training Officer, you will be part of a hardworking, busy team supporting all departments across the Council.
The career grade offers an opportunity to gain the necessary skills, experience, and a relevant qualification such as an apprenticeship degree, to support development within the role. Progression is based on achieving work-based objectives and learning activities over an agreed period of time.
You will help to provide a high-quality Applications Support and Training service within the ICT Operations department ensuring all customer requests, incidents and problems are captured and progressed swiftly to deliver robust, reliable and cost-effective ICT which meets customer needs and expectations, as agreed in all corporate Service Level Agreements (SLA’s).
Your work will be varied and whilst knowledge of ICT applications is essential, experience of working in an enterprise environment is not. The essential role requirements include, but are not limited to, the monitoring, support and triage of customer requests, escalation of complex issues to provide a timely resolution, ensuring data integrity of business applications, assisting in testing across all environments, supporting the Team Lead and Team Senior, creating and updating application documentation and training materials, as well as delivering this via face to face and virtual sessions.
Practical hands‑on skills and knowledge in corporate applications such as Office 365, Paris, IC S, Swift, Mosaic, SharePoint, and SAP would be advantageous and a logical approach to problem solving and the willingness to learn enterprise systems to provide high quality, customer focused Applications Support and Training services is essential.
You will need to demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as the ability to prioritise and take ownership.
