We are currently recruiting SEN Teaching Assistants to join a highly supportive specialist ASD school in Enfield. This school provides tailored education for students with complex ASD needs, with a high proportion of pupils who are non-verbal and require a structured, nurturing environment.

The Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support students with complex ASD and high sensory/communication needs
Work 1:1 or in small groups depending on pupil requirements
Use communication tools such as PECS, visual timetables, or Makaton (experience beneficial but not essential)
Assist with personal care, including toileting, hygiene support, and general physical care
Implement behaviour support strategies with guidance from the SEN team
Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and specialist staff
Help create a calm, safe, structured learning environment
What We’re Looking For
You do not need previous school experience, but you must have:
A genuine passion for supporting children with special educational needs
Confidence working with non-verbal students and complex ASD presentations
Willingness to provide personal care
Patience, resilience, and a calm, positive approach
Reliability – especially for full-time roles

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
