The role is a key position within the practice, offering the opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio of clients whilst working closely with the directors to support the continued growth of the business. You will manage and oversee client work across a range of industries, ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed to a consistently high standard. Responsibilities include preparing and reviewing year‑end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies, preparing and reviewing tax computations and tax returns, managing members of the team and acting as the main point of contact for client queries and communications. This role combines technical expertise with relationship management and leadership responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will already have experience working within an accountancy practice (essential) and will ideally be ACA or ACCA qualified, although candidates qualified by experience will also be considered. Strong technical knowledge across accounts preparation and tax compliance is essential, alongside excellent communication and interpersonal skills. The candidate should also have strong organisational ability, a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively within a busy practice environment.
