We are looking to recruit a highly motivated, qualified and HCPC/NMC registered Anaesthetic ODP or RN (with an anaesthetic qualification) to join our Theatre teams in BCUHB ‘Central’, covering Glan Clwyd, Abergele and Llandudno (Ortho). The position enables you to work within a diverse group of specialists including Maxillo Facial, Urology, Colorectal, Vascular, Gynaecology, Breast, ENT, Trauma, Orthopaedics, Emergency and Obstetrics. You will support cardiac arrest/trauma teams and contribute to peri‑operative patient care across the hospital.
Main Duties of the Job
The post holder will assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidence‑based patient care across the peri‑operative period. Clinical expertise is utilised during the anaesthetic, surgical and post‑operative phases. You will work collaboratively with the multi‑disciplinary team, assist with clinical and satellite area management, improve practices through audit and trials, and participate in education and development of staff and students.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Experience
 * HCPC/NMC registration.
 * Previous experience working in theatres covering a wide variety of surgical specialities.
 * Diploma or BSc (Hons) in Operating Department Practice (UK).
Desirable Criteria
 * Teaching / Mentoring qualification.
 * Evidence of ongoing professional development.
Key Skills
 * Demonstrated high‑quality patient care.
 * Effective communication skills.
 * Motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team.
 * Willingness to undertake out‑of‑hours shifts, weekends, nights and on‑call duties.
Additional Information
 * Welsh speaking desirable; English or Welsh sufficient.
