Location: Tewkesbury Duration: 6 month contract Rat: £25ph UMB - Inside IR35 Role details: Our client, a leading defence company, are looking for an Electronics Assembly Technician to join their team on a contract basis - This role involves assembling, testing, and fault-finding of electronic and electro-mechanical assemblies in line with defined processes and specifications. Responsibilities: Assemble and Test product ranges to defined demand plan in accordance with build/test instructions. Inspect Printed Circuit Boards Assemblies (PCBA) in accordance with IPC-A-610. Operate Ball Grid Array (BGA) rework station to repair PCBAs. Operate and programme Automatic Optical Inspection (AOI) machine. Rework PCBAs, both SMT and through-hole in accordance with IPC-7711/7721 Perform Pad and track repairs on PCBAs in accordance with IPC-7711/7721 Ensure Test results are recorded on relevant documentation and stored appropriately Perform Automated Test Equipment (ATE) tests in accordance with Production Test Specification (PTS) instructions. Provide First Time Yield (FTY) information for work carried out. Provide timely and accurate data for tasks undertaken including; time, quality, quantity and serialisation.
