Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families living with diabetes? Join our dedicated multidisciplinary team at Nobles Hospital as a Paediatric Diabetes Specialist Nurse / Allied Health Professional, where youll play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate, specialist care. In this rewarding role, youll assess, plan and deliver tailored programmes of care, providing expert guidance to children, young people and their families at every stage of their journey. Youll also act as a key point of contact, offering specialist advice and support to both families and healthcare colleagues across the wider team.

Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity to work at the heart of a collaborative service, where your expertise will help shape high-quality, evidence-based care and improve outcomes for children across the Island. Youll contribute to education and training, support and mentor colleagues, and play an active role in developing and enhancing the paediatric diabetes service. With a strong focus on innovation, continuous learning and teamwork, youll be empowered to grow your skills while making a genuine impact every day.

Housing Assistance is also available where the Department will pay the difference between your current mortgage/rent bill, and that of your new accommodation on the Isle of Man, up to a maximum of £250 per month. This role also qualifies for a recruitment incentive of £3,000, payable in the 1st, 13th, and 25th months of employment.

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or Allied Health Care Professional (e.g. HCPC Registered Dietician)
  • Specialist Diabetes Qualification at Diploma/Degree level or equivalent experience
