The Position
Environmental & Sustainability Manager
The Opportunity
At Roche Diagnostics you will lead the charge in shaping our environmental and sustainability agenda across the UK and Ireland. You will play a pivotal role in embedding our global ESG commitments into everyday operations ensuring compliance with regulations and inspiring cultural change. What You’ll Do
* Develop and deliver sustainability strategies that align with Roche’s global standards ISO 14001 and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
* Ensure compliance with environmental laws and reporting frameworks (ISO 14001, CDP, GRI, REACH, WEEE).
* Lead initiatives to measure, analyse and reduce carbon emissions, energy, water, waste and resource use.
* Partner with teams, suppliers and industry networks to drive sustainable practices and share expertise.
* Design and deliver training to build awareness and capability across the organisation.
* Support sustainable product and process innovation from procurement choices to circular economy initiatives.
* Establish and track KPIs ensuring transparent reporting and continuous improvement.
What You Bring
* A degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or a related field.
* Experience in environmental management or sustainability (healthcare, pharma or diagnostics desirable).
* Strong knowledge of UK, Ireland and international environmental regulations and reporting frameworks.
* Proven ability to manage projects, engage stakeholders and influence at all levels.
* Analytical skills to translate complex data into actionable insights.
* A collaborative mindset, adaptability and passion for sustainability.
