Looking to take your first step on your journey into Finance? This role is the perfect opportunity for you to start your finance career.

Supporting the Deputy Head of Finance and Accountants this role is pivotal in providing an efficient and effective accounting service to the Council; assisting in the delivery of financial reports and other finance related projects

About you…
To be successful you will need to have:

* Maths and English at GCSE standard
* Good M365 skills especially Excel
* Good organisational skills and be able to manage your workload

About the role…

* Undertake duties associated with electronic records management, data input, data management, scanning and archiving of service area information
* Update computer databases and spreadsheets, provide reports and assist in compiling information such as statutory returns and tracking expenditure
* To undertake end of day processing of cash to ensure cash is correctly recorded and secured in line with financial procedures.

The Finance Admin Assistant interviews will be held week commencing 15 September 2025.Please be advised this could be subject to change, in which case we will give appropriate notice.
