Product Developer - Toys
We're looking for a Product Developer - Toys to take the lead in creating and delivering exciting product ranges that inspire and engage customers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work across both own-brand development and licensed ranges, blending creativity with commercial awareness to bring playful, innovative products to market.
The Product Developer - Toys will play a key role in shaping the product vision, spotting new opportunities, and working closely with design, sourcing, and marketing teams to turn ideas into reality.
Key Accountabilities
* Lead the end-to-end product development process, from concept and design through to production and launch, ensuring products meet commercial and brand goals.
* Partner with internal teams and external suppliers to develop innovative, on-trend toy ranges that excite customers and stand out on shelf.
* Manage the development of both own-brand and licensed products, ensuring a strong mix across play patterns, price points, and target audiences.
* Collaborate with licensors to maintain creative alignment with brand guidelines and ensure compelling, market-right execution.
* Use consumer insight, market trends, and sales data to guide product decisions and identify new growth opportunities.
* Work with sourcing and quality teams to ensure all products meet the highest safety, compliance, and quality standards.
* Support go-to-market activity, contributing to packaging, marketing, and storytelling that enhances product appeal.
* Build strong relationships with suppliers and manufacturing partners to deliver cost-effective, high-quality outcomes.
What We're Looking For
* Proven experience as a Product Developer (or similar) within toys, gifts, or related consumer product categories.
* A creative, trend-aware thinker with a passion for innovation and play.
* Strong understanding of end-to-end product development, from concepting and prototyping through to production and launch.
* Experience working with licensed products and managing relationships with licensors.
* Commercially minded, with an eye for design, cost, and market appeal.
* Excellent project management and communication skills, able to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment.
* Passionate about creating memorable products that delight customers and reflect the brand's values.
