What you will do in this role as a full-time HIM Tech: Performs basic medical record functions such as filing, release of Information, coordination of transcription, assembly of discharged records and flagging for physician deficiencies Assists Manager with keeping physicians notified of deficiencies and time requirements for completion and assists physicians in the completion process Assists in processing requests for medical record copies Assists nursing staff in keeping records neat and orderly during the patient’s hospitalization Responsible for maintaining confidentiality of all patient information while performing health information duties Other duties as assigned
