An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a globally recognised engineering and technology organisation as a Senior Buyer within its established procurement function.
Supporting a diverse portfolio of marketing, media and digital services spend, this role offers the chance to work on high-profile procurement projects, influence key business decisions and partner closely with stakeholders across marketing, communications and wider corporate functions.
This position is ideally suited to an ambitious procurement professional looking to broaden their category experience, take ownership of strategic sourcing initiatives and continue developing their career within a large, sophisticated procurement environment that actively invests in employee development and progression.
Role responsibilites:
- Lead strategic sourcing and procurement activity across a range of marketing, media and digital services categories
- Partner closely with marketing and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver commercially effective procurement solutions
- Develop sourcing strategies and category plans that drive value, innovation and long-term supplier performance
- Manage end-to-end procurement projects, from market engagement and supplier selection through to negotiation, contracting and implementation
- Support supplier relationship management initiatives, helping maximise value and improve supplier performance
- Identify opportunities to optimise spend, improve processes and enhance procurement governance
- Work across multiple projects simultaneously within a dynamic and fast-paced international environment
What We're Looking For:
- Around 4–6 years of procurement experience gained within Buyer, Senior Buyer, Procurement Specialist or Assistant Category Manager positions
- Experience across indirect procurement spend, with exposure to marketing, media, digital, professional services or wider corporate services categories highly advantageous
- Strong understanding of strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations and contract management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Commercially minded, proactive and keen to continue developing within a strategic procurement career path
- Degree educated and/or CIPS qualified (or working towards qualification) would be beneficial
