This is an exciting opportunity to join the Recovery Team which forms part of the Local Taxation section within Conwy County Borough Council. This is a permanent position within the Revenue & Benefits Assessment Service, located at our Coed Pella Office in Colwyn Bay.
The role requires you to deal with various aspects relating to the preparation and maintenance of systems and records (including computer applications) for Council Tax and National Non-Domestic Rates.
You will be required to respond to written and verbal enquiries from the public or their representatives in accordance with the requirements of the relevant financial legislation, the Service Standards and the Data Protection Regulations.
To attend the Magistrates Court to resolve queries relating to liability orders applications and committal proceedings.
To decide on the appropriate methods of debt recovery following the obtaining of liability orders and to interview and make arrangements for settlement of sums outstanding and offer debt counselling whenever required.
