Senior Pharmacy Assistant (Dispensary)

As the Senior Assistant you will assist the Technician in the smooth running of the Dispensary. You will be supervising and assisting with the training of junior staff and carry out a final accuracy check of medications.

Responsibilities
* Assist with the dispensing of medication for inpatient, outpatient, discharge and Controlled Drug prescriptions.
* Supervise and assist with training of junior staff.
* Carry out a final accuracy check of medications.
* Liaise with the wider multidisciplinary team.
* Participate in flexible working including weekend, late duty and Bank Holiday rotas.
* Support the smooth running of the Dispensary as required.
Qualifications & Experience
* Relevant experience in a pharmacy dispensing setting.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work flexibly on rotas, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
* Willingness to undertake developmental training if not all essential criteria met; roles offered on a developmental basis may be banded lower until competency targets are met.
Working Pattern
37.5 hours per week.
