Overview
This role would suit an experienced LIA (Lenders Insurance Advisory) or similar professional with knowledge of various industry sectors and project financing. The role involves working in a specialist team and managing a portfolio of projects both in the UK and overseas. The ability to work independently, along with good verbal and written presentation skills, is essential. Knowledge of insurance and reinsurance arrangements in overseas territories would be beneficial.
How you'll make an impact
Working closely within the Financiers Insurance Advisory Services (“FIAS”) team, based in London and Belfast offices, contributing to the team's overall success. Responsibilities include preparing proposals in response to RfPs, negotiating fees, and preparing engagement letters. Undertaking insurance due diligence consultancy assignments as per the scope of work, which involves:
* Communicating with bankers, technical advisers, project sponsors, legal advisers, and borrower representatives.
* Researching technical aspects of insurance for specific projects and liaising with technical specialists.
* Preparing insurance reports (pre-FC and operational).
* Providing written and verbal advice to lenders on insurance aspects of their loans.
* Negotiating with project company's brokers.
* Ensuring service delivery meets FIAS standards.
* Traveling within the UK and overseas as required.
* Preparing fee invoices.
* Maintaining industry knowledge to inform clients and provide risk management advice.
* Complying with AJG standards and internal policies, including managing client information, whistleblowing, and treating customers fairly.
About You
Qualifications: Cert CII/ Dip CII (desirable), Educated to Degree level or equivalent.
Experience: Experience as a Lenders Insurance Adviser preferred. Sector experience in renewables, mining, power and energy, transportation/infrastructure, M&A is beneficial.
Skills: Excellent planning, data interpretation, problem-solving, interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills. Ability to engage with decision-makers, persistent, self-motivated, and network-oriented. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant IT systems. Spanish or French language skills are advantageous but not required.
