Test Manufacturing Technician
Role
We’re looking for a number of Test Technicians to join our Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME) team. Our Test Technicians carry out in‑depth testing and fault diagnoses of mechanical assemblies. The roles are based out of our Glasgow manufacturing site. You will work a 4 day week Monday to Thursday, working 9.25 hours per day with a flexible start time between 6:00am and 7:30am, and a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break. Free on‑site parking and an on‑site canteen are provided.

* Employment Type: FTC (12 months)
* Location: Glasgow
* Hours: 4 day week, Monday‑Thursday, 37 hours per week (9.25 hours per day)
What you’ll do
* Ensure all incidents are logged correctly and escalated to H&S leaders as appropriate.
* Escalate Health and safety issues to the Work Cell Manager.
* Perform complex manufacturing operations in accordance with the associated documentation and quality standards.
* Test, diagnose and repair various electronic systems and sub‑assemblies to component level.
* Adhere to defined company processes when carrying out all tasks.
* Perform self‑assessment and approval of products.
* Input and support continuous improvement actions being worked on within the industry.
* Detect any fault or non‑compliance and raise the alert; contribute to diagnostics and root‑cause analysis.
* Manage and record build configuration of product.
* Use company tools (ERP, Palma, etc.) when carrying out product assembly tasks.
What you’ll need
* Experience working in a production test department.
* Electrical/electronic qualification would be advantageous.
* Ability to interpret circuit diagrams and identify faults to component level.
* Ability to identify and carry out actions required with minimal supervision.
* PC literate in Microsoft Office.
* Secure SC clearance with no restrictions.
