Role Details:
We currently seeking an experienced Rigging Instructor, to teach, monitor, coach and assess learners, including pre-employment assessment and testing. The position involves supporting both internal training programmes and external training delivery, ensuring learners gain the skills and knowledge required to succeed in the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Execution: Build a basic understanding of company-wide and discipline codes, standards and working practices in order to perform basic engineering tasks in line with Business Operating Procedures (BOPs) and Work Instructions (WIs). Provide a support service as required by the Project Engineering Manager or Project Manager in the provision of quality and timely technical outputs.
2. Governance: Comply with national laws/regulations and adhere to company-wide & discipline BOPs and WIs to act in line with standardised working practices.
3. Innovation: Be aware of the need for development innovation at more senior levels and begin to build an awareness of expectations in this area in order to contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
4. Communication: Understand the need for and begin to build up a basic internal relationship network in order to leverage expertise, influence decision making and satisfy requirements.
5. People Development: Take accountability for their own personal Professional Development Record as part of Doosan’s talent management ethos.
Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
6. A trade-specific Level 3 qualification.
7. Teaching or training credentials such as Instructional Techniques, City & Guilds, Cert Ed, PTLLS, CTLLS, or DTTLS.
8. Assessor and verification qualifications, e.g. TDLB D32/D33, A1 or TAQA, plus TDLB D34, V1, or IQA.
9. A valid CCNSG Safety Passport; ECITB ACIC approval.
10. Previously qualified to, and with an up to date competence in the specific trade skill within the Engineering Construction Industry.
