SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)
Location: NorthamptonStart Date: ASAPContract: Temporary (Until End of Academic Year – Potential to Extend)Daily Rate:£200–£300 per day (DOE)
Reed Education are currently supporting a school in Northampton who are seeking an experienced and committed SENCO to join them on a temporary basis, starting immediately. This position will run until the end of the academic year, with the strong possibility of extension into the next academic year.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate SEN professional who thrives in a leadership role and is confident coordinating provision across both Primary and Secondary needs.
The School Are Looking For Someone With:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential
* NPQ SENCO – desirable but not essential
* Strong experience in a relevant SENCO/SEND leadership role
* Experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASC)
* Experience working with both Primary and Secondary SEND needs
* Team Teach training – desirable
* Confident understanding of EHCP processes, interventions and statutory requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a team of 4+ SEN staff
* Oversee SEND provision across Primary and Secondary phases
* Coordinate EHCPs, reviews, assessments and support plans
* Provide guidance on differentiation and tailored strategies for pupils with a range of needs
* Work closely with teaching staff, SLT, external agencies and families
* Support pupils with Autism using appropriate interventions and strategies
* Monitor SEND progress data and adjust provision where needed
* Plan and map the delivery of interventions and SEND support programmes
* Provide training and support to staff across the school
