Job Title: Microsoft 365 Solution Architect Location: Coventry, United Kingdom (Once per week) Day Rate: £500 - £550 (Inside IR35) Contract Type: Long term We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect with a strong background in Microsoft 365 (M365) technologies to join a dynamic team delivering enterprise-level digital workplace solutions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive generalist with hands-on experience across key M365 services such as Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and associated security and compliance tooling. A strong understanding of architectural governance processes and stakeholder management is essential. This role will be instrumental in developing High-Level Designs (HLDs) for M365 services and ensuring alignment with business and technical strategy. Job Responsibilities/Objectives: Lead the High-Level Design (HLD) development for various M365 services, particularly Exchange. Collaborate with enterprise architects and governance boards to align M365 architecture with broader business and IT strategies. Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, translating business needs into technical solutions. Provide assurance and input into the HLD for Microsoft Stream and related collaboration tools. Support adoption strategies for Microsoft Teams, particularly around integration with identity and access management. Work closely with delivery teams to ensure architectural designs are implementable and scalable. Required Skills/Experience The ideal candidate will have the following: Proven experience in Microsoft 365 architecture, including Exchange Online - migration planning and HLD creation SharePoint Online - architecture and rollout (HLD already in place) OneDrive for Business - architecture and configuration (HLD already in place) Microsoft Teams - user adoption and integration planning Strong understanding of compliance, security, and identity tooling within the M365 ecosystem. Experience working within an architectural governance framework. Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills. Ability to work autonomously and drive delivery with minimal supervision. Desirable Skills/Experience Although not essential, the following skills are desired by the client: Exposure to HRIS platforms such as: Workday HCM Kallidus Eploy Experience developing or supporting HLDs for Microsoft Stream. Familiarity with Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and its role in access management for M365.
