Do you have a passion for sport and a talent for inspiring young people to reach their potential? We’re looking for a dedicated Sports Coach Mentor to join a special school in Burnham that supports secondary-age students who benefit from an alternative approach to learning. This setting works with young people who may find mainstream education challenging and instead offers a tailored, supportive environment. Alongside academic studies, students are given opportunities to access vocational pathways such as catering, construction, and motor vehicle studies. Sport is a huge part of the provision, helping students develop teamwork, resilience, and confidence, while also supporting their physical and mental wellbeing. The Role: Delivering engaging sports sessions to secondary-aged learners. Acting as a positive role model, supporting students with behaviour, engagement, and motivation. Building strong, trusting relationships to help young people make positive choices about their future. Working closely with teaching staff to embed sport into the wider curriculum. What we’re looking for: Experience in coaching or mentoring young people (school, club, or community setting). A patient, resilient and encouraging approach. Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly. A passion for making a difference through sport. Why join? Make a real impact on the lives of young people. Be part of a supportive team that values creativity and new ideas. Opportunities for professional development and training. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to combine their love of sport with supporting young people in education.
