EC Drummond Group is a diverse and growing family run agricultural business. Specialising in top fruit, soft fruit, arable and broiler chicken production we are based on the outskirts of Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire.
We are looking to recruit a Sprayer Operator/ Tractor Driver to join our existing team. Tillington Top Fruit is 150ha of orchards based across several sites with the main operation for apples being at Tillington, Herefordshire. The farm grows dessert apples, cider apples and cherries.
Living in the local area is beneficial, but accommodation may be available in the future.
Must have a full driving licence with tractor experience.
This is a full-time position, not seasonal.
To operate one of the farms air blast sprayers and tractors throughout the season. The role will not be limited to this, and you will be required to carry out a range of other associated orchard/farm activities, some of which can be physically demanding. Examples of these are mowing, strip straying and orchard infrastructure repairs.
You will report to the Top Fruit Manager and Head of Production.
An experienced sprayer operator who is responsible for applying crop protection products over the farms range of differing fruit crops.
Operating one of the farms sprayers which consist of: (2 x state of the art three Row Munckhof Sprayers with tree by tree spraying capabilities and 3 x Single row Air Blast Sprayers).
Experience with modern Fendt 211F tractors is advantageous. We currently have 5 Fendts in the fleet and they carry out a range of different task from spraying, topping and general harvest duties.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and industry codes.
Machinery maintenance on a wide range of fruit machinery and specialist equipment including the daily upkeep of the sprayer you operate.
Flexible attitude to working week with a willingness to work anti-social working hours if required.
Relevant training will be provided as and when appropriate.
Qualifications and Experience
- PA1 and PA3 preferential but not essential. Training can be provided for the right candidate
- Must have a positivecan doattitude and be flexible enough to adapt to the work environment - essential

- Self-motivating and able to lone work often - essential
- Excellent time management - essential
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace - essential
- Team player
- Driving Licence essential
