The Opportunity
We are working with a well-established and growing specialist contractor delivering high-quality joinery and fit-out solutions across the UK. With a strong reputation in residential, student accommodation and commercial sectors, the business continues to expand and secure major projects nationwide.
As part of this growth, there is an opportunity for a Management Accountant to join the team and play a key role in supporting financial performance and operational decision-making.
The Role
Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the management accounts function while partnering closely with operational teams.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Preparation of monthly management accounts with detailed variance analysis
2. Budgeting, forecasting and cash flow management
3. Project costing and profitability analysis across multiple contracts
4. Monitoring WIP, revenue recognition and contract performance
5. Business partnering with project and operational teams
6. Enhancing financial controls, processes and reporting
7. Supporting year-end processes and audit requirements
8. Delivering meaningful financial insights to support strategic decisions
About You
9. Part-qualified or qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or QBE
10. Proven experience in a Management Accountant or similar role
11. Experience in construction, subcontracting, or manufacturing environments is advantageous
12. Strong Excel skills and experience with financial systems
13. Commercially aware with strong stakeholder engagement skills
14. Hands-on, proactive and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
