Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
* Evaluates non-emergency work requests, develops scope of work, and inspects job locations to determine requirements.
* Estimates labor hours, skillsets, parts, materials, equipment, and special tools needed for proactive jobs, ensuring safety and efficiency.
* Gathers technical documentation such as drawings, schematics, specifications, spare parts lists, OEM manuals, and the Knowledgebase system. Verifies parts availability before scheduling and arranges for special tools when necessary.
* Maintains an organized and prioritized work order backlog, aiming to keep the Ready Backlog at or above 80%.
* Uses continuous improvement processes to update Job Plans for accuracy and effectiveness.
* Conducts weekly planning and scheduling meetings with Production to set work order priorities, communicate status, and adjust planned maintenance as needed.
* Creates a Weekly Technician Schedule including priority jobs and preventive maintenance tasks, utilizing 100% of available technician hours.
* Enhances work order planning and scheduling through review processes and maintenance metrics.
* Maintains records for analysis and reporting of maintenance activities.
* Trains site employees on CMMS, ensuring proper use and integrity of the system.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities (KSAs), & Competencies:
Essential KSAs:
* Associate Degree in a technical field with 1-3 years of maintenance scheduling/planning experience or 5-10 years as a machine repair technician, or equivalent.
* Familiarity with industrial manufacturing environments.
* Electrical and mechanical aptitude.
* Proficiency with computers, maintenance systems, and applications including Microsoft Office.
* Excellent verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
* Ability to build and maintain positive, professional relationships.
Desirable KSAs:
* Interest in developing leadership skills.
* Experience in job plan development, scheduling, and work execution.
* Project management and capital project experience.
* Certifications such as CMRP, Green Belt, and STS.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
Employees must frequently stand, walk, handle objects, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, and hear. Occasionally, sitting and lifting over 50 pounds are required. Work involves close vision, exposure to outdoor weather, electrical hazards, loud factory environments, and potential contact with hazardous materials and slippery floors.
