First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Inside Sales Engineer on behalf of one of our clients. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration. Our client supplies advanced flow and level measurement technologies, instrumentation, and control systems to customers in engineering, manufacturing, and process industries both in the UK and overseas. They are looking for an experienced Inside Sales Engineer for their site in Salisbury to assist colleagues and departments with ongoing projects to ensure a smooth delivery for customers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare accurate and timely customer quotations based on application requirements
2. Provide technical support to clients across a range of products and solutions
3. Understand and interpret customer requirements to recommend suitable products
4. Support the sales team in achieving sales targets and business objectives
5. Communicate effectively with clients via phone and email to manage enquiries
6. Troubleshoot technical issues related to instrumentation and applications
7. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth order processing and delivery
8. Maintain high standards of customer service and satisfaction throughout the sales process
Skills & Experience:
9. Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a similar technical sales or support role within the UK
10. Proven ability to prepare accurate quotations and deliver technical support to customers
11. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused approach
12. Able to work independently and collaboratively within a small, dynamic team
13. Background in instrumentation, flow measurement, or related industries is highly desirable
14. Understanding of industrial process signals, including pulse, 4–20mA, Modbus, and M-Bus
15. Degree in Engineering, Business, or a relevant technical discipline preferred
