Role Description
Princes Liverpool is recruiting for a Senior Operations Accountant on a 12 month fixed term Maternity Cover contract. Although this vacancy is not permanent, this is a great opportunity to gain FMCG experience and network within a leading business which could lead to being considered for future opportunities across the business. Monday - Thursday you will be working from our flagship office which is situated in the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool and then you will be able to work from home on a Friday.
Role Description
To ensure that the financial accounts of the assigned site and SBA's are produced impartially on a timely, accurate and efficient basis and that all necessary procedural controls and policies are duly implemented and observed.

Principal Responsibilities
Production of monthly management and financial accounts in accordance with prescribed formats, timescales and procedures.
Provision and review of KPI's for the factories
Reconciliation of all site balance sheet accounts at prescribed frequencies.
Creation of manual and automatic accruals/provisions for all cost items.
Investigation of significant items of cost, variance or over-spend with operational management.
Work closely with the sites to produce forecasts on a monthly basis.
Liaison with internal and external audit personnel.
Reduction of lead times for the production of management accounts via an ongoing plan of process improvement.
Provision of financial data and analysis to operational management, Finance Managers or Group Finance as required.
Providing financial support to the factory management team in order to create financial awareness and drive out cost.
Interpretation, communication and enforcement of Group, policies and procedures.
Role Requirements
Fully Qualified in CIMA
Experienced and comfortable with MsExcel.
Ability to communicate with staff and management at all levels.
Experience of SAP.
Strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to manage own workload to meet agreed deadlines.
