As a Skills Practitioner in Construction Trades, you will join our busy Construction department at EKC Sheppey College. You will provide learning and technical support to both staff and students within the division, and undertake assessment and quality assurance duties as required by the college and awarding bodies. Other duties will include:
1. Liaising with internal and external customers/stakeholders.
2. Providing support and feedback to students to aid progression and achievement.
3. Assessing students' work, both theory and practical.
4. Stock control, including ordering and issuing supplies.
5. Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment, providing practical support and guidance to learners during lessons.
6. Delivering demonstrations to enhance understanding and engagement.
7. Maintaining a safe, efficient, and fully equipped workshop environment.
8. Promoting and upholding health & safety standards at all times.
9. Managing and ordering materials and tools within budget.
Requirements include:
* Recent experience in the construction industry.
* A highly organised and efficient approach to work.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Confidence in delivering practical demonstrations and supporting in-class learning.
* A passion for helping learners develop and achieve their full potential.
This role is ideal for someone with a recent construction qualification or experience in workplace training seeking to develop skills in further education.
