Non-Medical Prescriber Nurse (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber – Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership, serving Boston and Grantham, Lincolnshire, United Kingdom.
Lincolnshire Recovery Partnership is a collaborative service delivering substance use treatment and recovery services across Lincolnshire from April 2024, delivered between Turning Point, Framework and Double Impact. The partnership combines Turning Point's experience in substance use services with Double Impact's lived experience and Framework's expertise in supporting service users with complex issues. The "Recovery First" model underpins all activity, with lived experience recovery integrated and visible throughout.
As a community-based Non-Medical Prescriber (NMP) or Pharmacist Prescriber, you will empower and enable people to change, joining a friendly, multidisciplinary team and having the opportunity to shape service delivery.
Role Responsibilities
* Involvement with opiate substitute treatment (OST) interventions, benzodiazepine reductions, alcohol and opiate detoxifications, and relapse prevention medications.
* Support for health care assessments and administering detoxification medications for clients.
* Administering pabrinex and completing alcohol and opiate detoxification assessments.
* Provide Blood Borne Virus (BBV) screening and vaccinations and work closely with mental health, physical health, and social care services.
* Help create a collaborative approach linking Turning Point with outside professionals and agencies.
* Attend local prescribers meetings, one-to-one clinical supervision, and national prescriber/clinician meetings to support learning and professional development.
* Receive full training and supervision from the Clinical Services Manager and Clinical Lead.
* Contribute to delivering clinically excellent services and help shape service delivery.
* Access RCNi resources to assist with revalidation, indemnity insurance, and support from leadership teams.
Ideal Candidate / Qualifications
* Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC) or a qualified Pharmacist and already a qualified independent prescriber.
* Confident managing all aspects of prescribing for opiates and managing alcohol detoxifications.
* Excellent communicator, highly organised, capable of developing flexible, tailored support packages to meet individual needs.
* Able to manage a busy service and work with available resources to achieve strong outcomes.
* Demonstrates empathy, understanding, and patience when engaging with people with diverse needs.
