Role Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Marketing and Communications professional to lead the development and delivery of internal and external communications strategy, processes, and practices. The role is full-time and office-based in Cranleigh, Surrey.
Summary
As a communications specialist, you will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team to ensure all communications support the charity's growth, aligned with the Trust's objectives. Collaborating with Funding Partners and the Design Consultant, you will create engaging content, enhance branding, maintain social media presence, and oversee the Trust's websites.
This role will also involve working with senior stakeholders to develop and lead internal communications programs, delivering impactful content through various channels.
Key Duties
1. Develop and implement an annual marketing & communication strategy and budget that engages key audiences and supporters.
2. Support a range of activities, projects, and initiatives as the Trust’s communications specialist.
3. Create content for various channels and audiences.
4. Lead the Trust's social media presence and paid advertising campaigns.
5. Collaborate with fundraising partners for efficient joint practices.
6. Maintain consistent branding across all communications and campaigns.
7. Review and refresh branding as needed.
8. Oversee the Design Consultant to meet the Trust’s needs and ensure staff are equipped with tools and training.
9. Manage the Trust websites, ensuring content quality and design standards.
10. Monitor and report on performance indicators to inform stakeholders.
11. Enhance internal communications to boost employee engagement.
12. Deliver impactful communications to staff and across the Trust.
Candidate Requirements
* A degree in marketing or a related field.
* Proven experience in leading internal and external marketing & communications roles.
* Experience in education/SEND/social care and/or charity sectors is beneficial.
* Strong understanding of digital marketing tools, including Google Analytics and social media platforms.
* Experience managing website content.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Strong project management skills and ability to work under pressure.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and basic video creation.
* MAC experience is highly desirable.
