Credit Controller Location: Ballymena Job Type: Part-time (3-days) | Permanent | Office-based Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 pro rata Reed Accountancy are delighted to be partnered with an established company based in Ballymena in the appointment of an experienced Credit Controller to join their dynamic team on a part-time basis! The successful Credit Controller will be responsible for managing and monitoring incoming payments, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, maintaining customer records, and resolving payment discrepancies. This role plays a critical part in maintaining the company's cash flow and supporting overall financial operations. Day-to-day of the role: Overseeing the day-to-day management of customer credit accounts Reviewing financial information to evaluate risk and determine suitable credit limits Driving the prompt recovery of outstanding balances Making regular contact with customers by phone and email to follow up on late payments Investigating and resolving any issues related to invoices or billing queries Producing regular reports on aged debt and expected payment activity Working to reduce overdue balances and lower exposure to bad debt Keeping customer account information and payment history accurate and up to date Collaborating closely with internal teams including sales, finance, and customer support Assisting with financial reporting tasks at month end and during audit processes Required Skills & Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in credit control or accounts receivable Knowledge of credit control and collection procedures Experience with accounting/ERP systems Strong Microsoft Excel skills Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
