Job Title: Senior Adult Education Tutor Salary: £14,175 - £15,147 20 Hours per Week - Term Time 39 weeks Location: Worcestershire (Primary base - Warndon, Worcester) Team: Learning Services Permanent The Role: Make a difference to the lives of young people in Worcestershire Are you passionate about supporting young people to engage with learning and reach their full potential? Learning Services Worcestershire is seeking a skilled and committed Senior Adult Education Tutor to take a lead role in planning and delivering high-quality education and mutual support to young adult learners (aged 16–24) on our Study Programmes. This post offers an exciting opportunity to help young people overcome barriers, build confidence, and progress in education or employment. About the Role While the role sits within our adult education team, this particular post is focused on working with Young Adult Learners (YAL), many of whom have experienced disruption to their education or face additional challenges. You will be responsible for: Planning and delivering learning programmes that support learners to develop personal, social, and employability skills. Supporting learners to participate fully in their Study Programmes, including Functional Skills and vocational learning. Working closely with internal colleagues and external partners, including support agencies, carers, and other professionals, to ensure learners are well supported and able to progress. Contributing to curriculum planning and quality assurance to ensure learners' needs are met effectively. Maintaining accurate learner records, providing feedback, and embedding safeguarding, equality and Prevent throughout delivery. About You We’re looking for someone with: A recognised teaching qualification and experience delivering post-16 education. A strong understanding of the challenges facing young adult learners and a passion for inclusive education. The ability to build supportive relationships and adapt learning to individual needs. Experience working collaboratively with other professionals to support learner progress and engagement. A proactive approach to curriculum planning, learner engagement and service improvement.
